The back-to-school emails have started. The store aisles are full of folders and glue sticks. And somewhere in the back of your mind, a little voice is saying:* Did we do enough this summer?*

Deep breath. Yes, you did. And there’s still time for more.

The best part? Everything on this list is under one roof, already included in your membership, and requires exactly zero planning. Here are five things every Silverlake family should do before the first bell rings.

  1. Squeeze every last drop out of the waterpark

The countdown is officially on. The outdoor waterpark closes for the season soon, which means these are the weeks the kids will actually remember — the slides and the splash pad on a 90-degree afternoon.

Come on a weekday morning if you want elbow room. Come on a Saturday if you want the full summer-finale energy. Either way, come. The pool is always ready; you just have to show up.

  1. Let them finally conquer the ropes course

You know the one. Three stories tall. The one your kid has been eyeing all summer, working up the nerve.

August is the month. There’s something about the end of summer that makes kids braver — maybe it’s wanting one more big story to tell at school. Harness them up, stand back, and watch them find out what they can do. (Clip ‘n Climb counts too. So does the climbing wall. Bravery comes in many forms.)

  1. Have one more “we don’t have to go anywhere” day

This is the secret weapon of a Silverlake summer: the day with no plan at all. Trampoline park, then duckpin bowling, then a swim, then pizza. Nobody gets back in the car between activities.

One more of those before the school-year schedule takes over. Trust us — this is the day they’ll bring up at Thanksgiving.

  1. Take *your* victory lap, too

The kids aren’t the only ones who had a summer. Book the last patio nights at the Bar & Grill while they’re still warm. Grab a cold drink, order the good stuff, and let the kids run themselves happy in a place where you don’t have to hover.

You spent all summer making it magical for them. This one’s for you.

  1. Lock in fall before it locks you out

Okay, this one is less “summer fun” and more “future you will be so grateful.”

After school, gymnastics, youth sports, swim lessons, PreK, and fall spots fill fast. Ten minutes at the front desk (or in the app) and your entire after-3-PM problem is solved through December.

That’s the Silverlake math: one stop, one membership, one very smooth September.

Summer’s not over yet.

The waterpark is waiting. The ropes course is ready. And fall is already handled.
