Certified lifeguards are responsible first and foremost for the safety of our members and guests. Prevention is the key to safety and lifeguards provide a safe environment by enforcing general facility and safety rules. Lifeguards must be NASCO certified and maintain their certification while employed. Silverlake will conduct NASCO Lifeguard Training classes for qualified candidates to be Silverlake Lifeguards only. Be water orientated and a good swimmer are a must. Personal Trainers are responsible for selling and delivering personal training services to members, schedule and conduct introductory sessions, perform fitness assessments as requested by members, assist members in using safe and effective exercise form during their workouts and support and encourage members to meet their fitness goals. Maintain a clean, safe and orderly fitness floor. Personal Trainers must hold a Degree in a fitness related field or certificate from accredited program at a university. Nationally accredited certification (ACE, ACSM, NASM, etc.) is a plus. - Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
- Drive gasoline, diesel, or electrically powered multi-passenger vehicles to transport students between neighborhoods, schools, and school activities.
- Check the condition of a vehicle’s tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order.
- Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
- Follow safety rules as students are boarding and exiting buses, and as they cross streets near bus stops.
Summer Camp Instructors
Provide quality camp leadership through a variety of educational and fun activities including swimming, gym activities, crafts and field trips while promoting fitness and positive self esteem in a safe environment. Instruct campers utilizing knowledge and training. Plan camp day accordingly in a logical progression while working within the confines of the department objective statement and goals. Locker Room / Housekeeping
We have an immediate opening for a Locker Room Attendant. Job responsibilities include washing, drying and folding shower towels and small workout towels provided by the facility from perspective Locker Rooms to distribute for member use. Along with towel upkeep, restocking of soaps, bathroom tissue, facial tissue and general cleaning of mirrors, surfaces and counters are expected. You will be responsible for Locker Room presentation, cleanliness and generally available for member assistance with lockers. We are looking for someone with a friendly demeanor, who enjoys helping people and working in an energetic environment. Morning availability is preferred
Water Park Season is quickly approaching we are in need of Cafe staff for our Out Door Water Park! As a Membership Adviser you will actively develop leads for prospective members, respond to telephone and e-mail membership inquiries, provide prospective members with an informative tour, present membership options to prospective members and close membership sales, perform corporate outreach, complete all membership paperwork for new members including application and orientation requirements. You should be organized, have the ability to multi task and have two years of sales experience with the ability to project and promote a professional image; strong work ethic and customer service skills; that are a must. You will also be responsible for member follow up to insure satisfaction and retention.
Sports Academy Coach
Class instructors are responsible for teaching and assisting children in basic fitness and sport skills. Qualified instructors must have experience playing sports like soccer, basketball, baseball, golf, football, tennis, volleyball, lacrosse. Teaching experience preferred, but willing to train based on sport experience. Must also have experience working with children, ages 3-10. Will be responsible for creating a fun and friendly atmosphere for children to learn introductory sport skills through instruction and example. Candidate needs excellent customer service skills and must be willing to interact with parents.
